Dear Sandra,

I love your writing! It brings a normal, peaceful vibe to this over heated world.

I hope you take this in the positive way it is intended: your Substack has become the fuel for my fantasy world, especially looking forward to the cold Indiana winter. I am so impressed with you and your husband’s ability to make community as strangers in a strange land. And brava on your growing ability to speak the language! I will be thinking of Jake and the chickens as we transition from fall into winter and you are under the Jacarandas.

I can tell that you and Jake have a close relationship, which I find touching and wonderful. It is the same with Arya the Cockatiel and I; he is my faithful feathered companion.

it's amazing what sunset light and a fresh coat of paint on a wall can do! We are looking forward to making the house match the rest of the photo...
