Well it’s not the wild life of my bad ass Alaskan adventure guide sister in law who is at this moment paragliding off a 1000 ft cliff in Porto after finishing a heliski guiding season in the Chugach mountains … but it suits me
I don't think there are many who can match Kristin. I've done some things but nothing like what she does, and by choice no less. May the halos of goodness and protection watch after.
You may not be heli skiing or leaping off of cliffs but you are every bit as brave Sandra and you are doing it every single day with happiness and determination.
I know the feeling. My brother used to ice climb and still does acrobatic trials/ motorcycle riding at 68! My life centers around a pastoral small farm. I see whole universes in the soil. It’s fun to hear about the adventures though! The scope of your project is really awesome inspiring. My husband was like yours I think in terms of being a workaholic! He was brought up in the far North and smart as a whip. No running water as a youngster.
Your writing is so on point. With you the whole way. I did get a DM from Jake recently and he indicated his impatience with progress regarding the pool. He feels, and for valid reasons, that this should take precedence over all other projects. In fact, he feels that work on anything else should cease and be redirected to making the pool fully functional as soon as possible, for obvious reasons, namely the swimming all Labradors deserve. Swimming all the time. On demand.
I trust that you will take this under proper advisement.
So sweet to be mentioned in your article! It’s so true - I still see that grade school pitcher in her yellow St A’s T-shirt and shorts winding up for the next pitch.
I cannot wait to take a tour of your property. I am impressed that you still have the energy and stamina to tackle such a gargantuan project. And I can only imagine what joy it gives you to survey the progress when you take Jake on his walks.
You lead a truly amazing life!

I love your perspective and the empathy you feel with the animals. What an adventure!
Life is happier with animals, I believe

duly noted!
Will there be pictures of the tattoo at some point or is that just not gonna happen?
When it stops peeling
