What a wonderful update! It all looks amazing and quite beautiful. I would have stormed out crying in week #2 (if that), never to return. Kudos to both of you on all the stamina, determination, hard work and commitment! xo
Thanks for a positive progresses report! I hope you don’t mind, I live with you and H vicariously. Retired doctor here, but over the years I’ve done my share of remodeling so I Know the crushing frustration as well as the soaring triumphs. Sharing yours is a joy!
I don't mind a bit. It's good to know someone is following along who gets that renovating doesn't involve a lot of fulfilled plans. We just concentrate on the next thing we realize we can't live without...but the actual first domicile to be be finished and lived is the worst one on the whole property, that's just where a usable electricity panel was, so here we are.
Love the update Sandra! I've followed your journey now for a while and I love to get all caught up on the goings on at your property (separate from the chickens and roosters 🐓🐔)! So much progress!! I can feel the gratitude in your writing.
So fabulous!! What a joy to be seeing and experiencing the fruits of your hard work and your perseverance through so many challenges! Your joy and appreciation of every improvement comes through so clearly in this!
Loving it!
(And smiling about your having found one of Jakes beds! In your containers! Lucky, sweet, handsome boy!)
Thank you so much Dana. I accidentally published before I added a paragraph or two about one of the original inhabitants of the Garden House, so if you have a mind to go back and read the beginning you'll see that bit. It was quite amazing to get to meet her!

Thank you! my definition of 'a nice place to live' has undergone a deep sea change, as has my definition of what I can and cannot live with xo

I’m glad I don’t sound as cranky as I sometimes felt lol

Oh, so cool! I certainly will go back and read the beginning! Thanks for letting me know ❤️
Reflections seem to become a reality. It looks great.
Thank you, it's very refreshing to my eye, to see it looking spiffy. It was quite dreary the first year here, everything so old and beaten up/down.
That door! Bellissima!
